It’s time to dust off your lederhosen!
The Fort Adams Trust and Ragged Island Brewing Co. are excited for the second annual Newport Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28, 2024! Bavaria meets the Ocean State on the beautiful North lawn outside the walls of historic Fort Adams where attendees will be able to enjoy authentic German beer, wine, food, and live music.
This 21+ event is an annual fundraising event for the Fort Adams Trust.

2024 Tickets now on sale!
Newport Oktoberfest tickets include entry to the festival from 1:00 to 6:30 PM and a stein glass to be used for beer sampling throughout the afternoon. The first beer or wine is included in the ticket price, with additional beer or wine available for purchase as you go. Designated driver tickets include entry to the festival, and a glass upon exiting the festival. Food can be purchased onsite from local caterers and vendors.

Beer
All General Admission attendees will receive a custom glass beer stein upon entering the Festival to be used for beer sampling throughout the afternoon from local breweries Ragged Island Brewing Co., Taproot Brewery, Rejects Beer Co., Newport Craft, Pivotal Brewing, and three German staples — Weihenstephan, Paulaner, Ayinger and Spaten.
The first beer or wine is included in the ticket price, with additional beer and wine available for purchase.
Stein Pours
Enjoy the authentic Oktoberfest experience of communal tables under a tent with full stein pours and refills all afternoon.
Wine
Authentic German wines will be available for pouring as well as beer. Use your first token on us to get either a wine or a beer! Additional pours will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Food
Authentic Bavarian and other food will be for sale at the festival. More details to be announced soon!

The 2024 Newport Oktoberfest is the second event of what we hope to become an annual Autumn celebration! If you have any questions not answered here on this website and below, please don’t hesitate to reach out at [email protected].
The event is 21+. No one without a ticket or under the legal age will be admitted, including minors, children, infants and babies.
We love dogs too, but sorry, there are no dogs allowed in the festival unless they are a service animal.
The festival is rain or shine. Most of the event is held under a large tent. In the event of extreme and severe weather forecasted, the festival may be canceled or altered after organizers consult with public safety officers. THERE ARE NO RAIN DATES OR REFUNDS in the event of an extreme weather cancellation.
Tickets are non-refundable. No Exceptions. However, in the event that you cannot attend and have tickets, you are welcome to gift or sell them. The event is not responsible for private transactions regarding ticket resale.

Free parking is available at Fort Adams State Park in the lot nearest to the Fort and overflow parking available in the sports fields on the left.
Fort Adams
The Newport Oktoberfest will be held on the beautiful North lawn at historic Fort Adams State Park. A portion of all proceeds from the event benefit the Fort Adams Trust.
Glass Stein
All attendees will receive a branded 0.5L Glass Stein for full glass samples poured throughout the afternoon! Designated Drivers will receive their glass upon exiting the festival.
Live Music
Sing and dance along with an authentic five-piece German Band that will be playing German music from 1:00 – 3:30 PM.
Local favorites Guest Method will keep the party rolling from 4:00 to 6:30 PM.
